Meet Allie Rempel, Broker
My Life Before Real Estate
I’m originally from England, but Toronto has been home since 2008 (plus I’m a Canadian citizen now), and I can’t imagine living anywhere else. Before real estate, my career took me around the world: I spent years as a professional photographer in Melbourne, Australia and London, England, capturing people, places, and moments through my lens. Before that, I worked as an Account Manager for a promotional gifts company in England, learning the ins and outs of client service and honing my skills in sales.
Each role taught me something different, but becoming a Realtor has been the most rewarding chapter yet. Helping people buy and sell homes isn’t just a job, it’s a way to connect, guide, and make one of life’s biggest decisions feel exciting and achievable.
What I love About Being a REALTOR
No two days in real estate are ever the same, and that’s exactly why I love it. One moment I’m unlocking the door to a dream home for excited buyers, the next I’m helping sellers position their property for maximum impact, or negotiating fiercely to secure the best possible price and terms. I thrive on working with clients who share my passion for the process, and I take pride in guiding first-time buyers, helping them look past the fresh paint and perfect staging to uncover the real story of a property, so they can make confident, informed decisions.
Why I Love Helping Buyers
When I work with buyers, my job isn’t just to open doors, it’s to protect their investment. I’m the one poking holes in properties (not literally… well, maybe sometimes!) when they may walk in wearing rose-tinted glasses. I dig into the details beyond the glossy staging, giving my clients a clear, honest picture before they commit. For first-time buyers, many of whom have saved for years to make their dream possible, I’m their biggest advocate, navigating the fast-paced Toronto market, suggesting properties they’ve perhaps not considered before, fighting hard in negotiations, and celebrating right alongside them when they get the keys.
Favourite Buyer Story
One of my most memorable wins was helping a couple from Vancouver buy their Toronto home, without ever setting foot inside it! Over weeks of Zoom calls, FaceTime virtual tours, and detailed market analysis, they trusted me to be their eyes, ears, and boots on the ground. From due diligence to negotiations, I handled it all, and when they finally walked through their new front door after moving across the country, they were in love with the home. I’ll admit, I breathed a sigh of relief too!
Why I Love Helping Sellers
Every property has potential, it’s just a matter of unlocking it. Some homes are show-ready from the start, others need strategic improvements – but all get skilled stagin, and standout marketing to shine. I love overseeing every step of that transformation, removing stress for my sellers so they can focus on their move. My goal? To create a listing that stands out, drives traffic, and generates offers that exceed expectations.
Favourite Seller Story
One highlight was working with an out-of-country seller who trusted me to manage everything getting their biggest investment ready for market – repairs, painting, staging, photography, and strategic pricing. We positioned their condo for maximum appeal, navigated the unique complexities of non-resident tax considerations, and even in a slower market, attracted multiple offers and an incredible sale price.
My Life Outside of Real Estate
When I’m not helping clients, you’ll find me travelling (Australia, Vietnam, Bali, New Zealand, and Italy are favourites), spending time with family, reading horror novels, watching Formula One racing, or behind the camera indulging my other passion photography.
You’ll Enjoy Working with Me If…
…you appreciate professionalism mixed with a good dose of dry British humour! I believe buying and selling should be exciting, not stressful. I’m here to take on the burden and guide you effortlessly through the process. You’ll find me a patient, unflustered advocate, who always has your back.
When selling, you’ll be able to put your full trust in myself and the team to reach your ultimate goals, and handle any obstacles with patience and resilience. I’m not afraid to roll up my sleeves, whether that’s helping with packing boxes, sweeping floors, or even a touch of gardening. And yes, with buyers, if we stumble upon something unexpected (like a dead rat in the basement), we’ll take it in our stride and keep moving toward the goal.
You’ll also appreciate my professionalism with other agents too, which helps when you need gold nuggets of information when offering on a place with multiple offers, so that you can ultimately be that successful bidder.
Fun Fact: Moving from England to Canada in 2008 allows me to take my Halloween obsession to another level!
