Once again this year, we’ve created an interactive map of Toronto schools by neighbourhood, integrated with the Fraser institute scores and ranking information.
Our 2014 Toronto school map will have a permanent home here on our website but we wanted to share the results on our blog too.
Please note that while we’ve made every effort to ensure the accuracy of the data, you should confirm any pertinent details with the schools directly. It’s also important to note that Toronto has identified school catchment areas and assigns schools based on home address. Many schools do not have optional enrolment (meaning that you don’t generally have a choice as to which public school your child attends). You can search schools designated for your street by visiting the Toronto District School Board’s website here: Toronto District School Board.
What the Fraser Institute data means:
Fraser Institute Score – individual school score out of 10 – click to learn about the School Report Card (if there is no score, it’s because the school was excluded from the Fraser Institute’s results)
Fraser Institute Rank – how the school ranks compared to Toronto’s 2,714 other schools
