About Meadowvale

Meadowvale was incorporated into the new Town of Mississauga in 1968, but the real development didn’t start until the 1970s (and the neighbourhood has continued expanding ever since).

Meadowvale is known for being a mature neighbourhood with lovely tree-lined streets, large lots, two man-made lakes (Lake Aqcuitane and Lake Wabukayne), and one of the city’s largest business parks – home to offices such as: Microsoft, Loblaw, Wal-Mart, Chrysler, and GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) to name a few.

Although the lakes were man-made to control flooding and water drainage in the area, they have grown over with greenery and are real staples in the community. Surrounding the lakes are kilometres of trails perfect for walking through on a nice sunny day.
