Classic loft living with incredible skyline views
Send This Listing To A FriendIf you’ve always wanted to experience the lofty lifestyle, without the hustle and bustle of the downtown core, then look no further than this classic Roncesvalles loft.
There’s a reason why Robert Watson Lofts is one of the city’s most sought-after buildings. You get the finest of loft living, from soaring ceilings with exposed ductwork and floor-to-ceiling windows, to raw elements like brick and concrete…all while living on a peaceful, tree-lined street with Sorauran Park, cafés, and restaurants only steps away.
Inside, you have chic, industrial living. The vibe is airy and bright, with 10 ft high ceilings, upgraded diamond-polished concrete floors, crisp white walls and sliding barn doors. The spacious, modern bath features a custom-made glass shower and tiled floating vanity.
At the back of the space, you have your open-concept living and dining area with stainless steel appliances and a generous amount of cabinetry storage. This area is perfect for everyday living and entertaining.
OK, can we talk about the view? The east-facing unit captures a panoramic view of Toronto’s skyline that can be admired both inside with floor-to-ceiling windows and outside on your extra-wide balcony (complete with gas BBQ hookup!) Host friends outside for a BBQ or bring the party indoors for a swanky wine and cheese night. This view never gets old.
About the Building
The Robert Watson Lofts are one of our favourite loft buildings in the city, thanks to the combination of character, location and access to great shared facilities. The century-old Robert Watson Candy Factory was converted in 2007, with the soft loft extension added onto the back of the building. Shared amenities include a well-equipped gym, rooftop garden, party room and visitor parking.
We must admit, one of the most attractive features of this building is the location. This is a quiet, family neighbourhood, where people know their neighbours. Nearby Sorauren Park is a haven for dog walkers, sports fields and one of the most established farmer’s markets in the city, while the European-flavored festivals and retail offerings on Roncesvalles are nearby. Authentic loft style with a healthy dollop of community and a large side of lifestyle is what the Robert Watson Lofts are serving up.
5 Things We Love
- Character & style. If you love lofts like we do, this building is a classic (Don’t like lofts? Then why are you reading this?)
- The View: a panoramic Toronto skyline view from your huge balcony. Nighttime is unreal!
- Prestige. You may never need to give out your address again. One of the most famous spots in the city!
- The Neighbourhood. There aren’t many places you can get the residential neighbourhood experience of Roncesvallles, with the low-maintenance convenience of condo living.
- Sorauren Park. From weekly farmers’ markets, to an off-leash dog park, tennis courts, ice rink, summer camps and more, Sorauren Park is the social and cultural hub of the neighbourhood–and it’s right next door.

About Roncesvalles
What’s not to like about Roncy? No longer one of T.O’s best-kept secrets, the restoration of Roncesvalles has resulted in awesome restaurants, pubs, indie coffee houses, and boutique shopping. It’s a tight-knit ‘hood with an ecletic mix of singles, families, and ‘cool kids’ with their pets. Yep, you’ll see no shortage of dogs being walked, coffees-in-tow, strollers being pushed, and socializing going on. Roncy is a groovy mix of semis, detached homes, and loft-conversions––all within walking distance to Sorauren and High Park. Streets are generally tree-lined, quiet, and bordering major roadways and transit routes. This is an ideal place to live for any Torontonian.
