About the Property

It’s hard to know where to start. Should we lead with one of the hippest, most-sought after buildings? Or we could begin with the location in one of Toronto’s coolest neighbourhoods. Or we perhaps jump right into the enviable space? It’s hard to know because it’s really the convergence of the three that makes this the one you’ve been searching for.

This two-storey, one bedroom loft has personality for days. The design-forward layout has a loft bedroom open to the living area below. Which means, you entertain guests in a space flooded with natural light from two-story windows and soaring ceilings. The modern industrial feel is punctuated by exposed ductwork, cement flooring and crisp white walls. Step through to your own private gated 140 sf terrace with gas BBQ line, and sip local craft beer while you watch the world go by. Or cook inside on your (rare) gas stove, in a kitchen with granite counters and tile backsplash.

Of course, you can skip the cooking altogether and head out to walk the dog at nearby Sorauren Park or High Park, then one of the countless restaurants, breweries or coffee shops a stone’s throw away.

About the Neighbourhood

Roncesvalles

What’s not to like about Toronto’s Roncesvalles neighbourhood? Streets are lined with beautiful homes, friendly faces, burgeoning local businesses, and some of the city’s best parks. Walking down Roncesvalles Avenue, the smell of homemade bread and rich coffee, coming from nearby Mabel’s Bakery serves as a reminder that “Roncey” is a neighbourhood abundant in life’s simple pleasures.

About the Building

The Robert Watson Lofts are one of our favourite loft buildings in the city, thanks to the combination of character, location and access to great shared facilities. The century-old Robert Watson Candy Factory was converted in 2007, with the soft loft extension added onto the back of the building. Shared amenities include a well-equipped gym, rooftop garden, party room and visitor parking.

We must admit, one of the most attractive features of this building is the location. This is a quiet, family neighbourhood, where people know their neighbours. Nearby Sorauren Park is a haven for dog walkers, sports fields and one of the most established farmer's markets in the city, while the European-flavored festivals and retail offerings on Roncesvalles are nearby. Authentic loft style with a healthy dollop of community and a large side of lifestyle is what the Robert Watson Lofts are serving up.
