What a month for Toronto real estate! A few things to note:

  • July was a fantastic month in real estate – sales were up 29.5% vs July 2019 and almost 50% from June 2020
  • Prices increased pretty much everywhere, for an average increase of 16.9% since last year (and 5.5% since June 2020)
  • Keep in mind: year-over-year stats are a bit misleading right now – July is traditionally a slower month, but given the lockdown earlier this year, we’re seeing a lot of activity this summer  that would normally have happened in the spring
  • Interest rates are incredibly low – we expect this will continue to fuel demand
