About Gibson

The Gibson neighbourhood is popular because it offers easy access to both the shops and restaurants of downtown Hamilton and Gage Park (the largest park in the city with two playgrounds, splash pad and wading pool, greenhouse, Children’s Museum, baseball field, skating rink, and many summer festivals).

The community is very tight-knit – it’s a great mix of longtime residents and newcomers.  There are a lot of families with kids in the neighbourhood.  It’s an older neighbourhood with wide streets and mature trees.  The escarpment is to the south – creates some lovely views.

Local favourites The Capitol Bar and Vintage Coffee are a few minutes away on King Street East. Tim Horton’s Field is within walking distance (oskee wee wee!) along with the Bernie Morelli Rec Centre.
