About City Centre
For anyone who doesn’t really know Mississauga, this is the one Mississauga ‘hood I’m sure they’ve heard about. Right at the center of it all (is there any irony in the name?), City Centre is a business and shopping hub. Home to the infamous Square One Shopping Centre, City Centre is rife with activity. Whether it’s weekend shopping at the mall, or the best of Latin Wednesdays at And Company (& Co. for the locals) – this neighbourhood has you covered.
Not up for shopping or bar hopping? You can hang out at Celebration Square for year round resident events: bring your kids to the splash pad and fountain in the summer, shoot some hoops, or soak up the art scene.
There is a ton of development happening around Square One, with new condos popping up around every corner. A soon to be transit hub, although City Centre does not have it’s own Go Train Station, it boasts a huge MiWay Transit Terminal and is soon to be home to a station stop along the Hurontario LRT (connecting north and south Mississauga, expected completion 2020). The Hurontario LRT is big news for Mississauga residents, so it makes sense that we have seen a lot of investment in this area from developers and residents alike.
