About Evening Telegraph Lofts - 264 seaton street, toronto, ontario

The Evening Telegram Lofts is a small boutique building just two stories tall containing 10 suites. These authentic hard lofts range in size from 567 to 2985 square feet and boast 14-foot ceiling heights and private rooftop terraces or ground level patios, a luxury not often found in an authentic hard loft conversion.

Formerly home to the Toronto Evening Telegram (later the Toronto Telegram), the paper shut down in 1971 and some of its former staffers began what is known today as the Toronto Sun. This makes for an interesting conversation with your guests, potentially just as much as the nearby Regent Park revitalization or some of the many original aesthetic features of the units themselves.

Though street permits are available, there is limited owned parking. However, streetcars surround you on Gerrard and Dundas, and there is little in terms of daily needs that can’t be found a short walk out your front door – the Parliament retail strip is fun and funky, thanks to Cabbagetown’s eclectic population. Urban lifestyle in an authentic character-rich loft-style makes the Evening Telegram Lofts a worthy consideration.

What We : Living in a small, unique loft building like Eventing Telegram Lofts certainly gives you bragging rights over your “condo box” friends and the units we’ve seen are beautiful, unique spaces.

What We Don’t: This is the more random part of Cabbagetown, where the architecture is still beautiful but the demographics are more mixed. You should spend some time exploring the area – especially at night – before deciding to live here, to make sure you’re comfortable.
