Why do I love my job?
After buying my own properties, I quickly realized that I could no longer spend another day working in a cubicle. I realized I needed a career that I’m passionate about every day. When working with clients I approach it as if I’m buying the property for myself. I bring years of experience in this industry…to you. My job (if you want to call it a job) is something I feel fortunate to do.
What do I like best about the Toronto Real Estate Market?
Toronto is a world-class city that has it all! Whether the dollar goes down, or interest rates climb, people will always consider the Toronto Real Estate market a safe-haven for investment and an ideal place to live. I love chasing a new deal and helping people to find what they’re looking for.
What neighbourhood do I live in? What makes it groovy?
As a homeowner, I have lived all across the city of Toronto, from the east side (Queen and Broadview) to the west side (College and Clinton) and even up north (Bayview and Highway 7) when my wife and I started our life together.
Now, with our two kids, my family calls St. Clair West home. I can honestly say that we can no longer see ourselves living anywhere else.
The welcoming atmosphere, local amenities, sprawling green space, nearby schools, and family-friendly atmosphere, make St.Clair West the perfect place for us.
When I’m not working, you can find me….
..spending time with my wife and kids! You might also see me driving my motorcycle…it’s one of my favourite things to do.
The kind of clients I tend to work with!?!?
Well, basically I just love working with anyone that has an interest in buying or selling real estate! However, for the sake of answering this question, I do really enjoy working with investors, non-resident buyers, and commercial buyers and sellers.
What neighbourhoods do I often work in?
I’m not specific to any one neighbourhood, but commercial mixed-use properties tend to be off a main artery across Toronto.
What type of properties do I love selling?
I love working with clients looking to invest where there is a commercial storefront with some apartments above, residential duplexes, triplexes, or multi-unit properties. I am a big advocate of income properties. I love to see clients earn off their investment in real estate or live mortgage free as landlords!

I found the BREL tea, via Yelp so I contacted them to help lease my condo unit in the downtown core. Mathew Shapiro from the BREL team did an amazing job for me and he was able to answer my questions clearly and provided me with great suggestions. He carried a professional camera with him when he came to my condo the first time in a heavy snowing day, due to weather conditions he could not take the great lake view pictures, so he came back a few days later to take the professional pictures to show my unit. He also introduced us to a professional cleaner to clean up the whole unit at a low cost. With Mathew’s help, my unit was leased out within one week after listing. This is the second time we have worked with BREL TEAM with an amazing experience once again. We wanted to re-rent our apartment before the present leased expired and Matt Shapiro made it happened as promised.
