Why did you get into real estate?

I’ve always had an interest in homes and real estate. As a child and well through my teenage years I loved binge-watching home renovation shows like Trading Spaces, Extreme Makeover, and Flip this House.

What did you do before becoming a Client Care Coordinator?

Before the BREL team, I was working with a real estate team in Kitchener for a year. It was there I first got my initial experience with the administration side to real estate. The skills I learned from that team were easily transferable to BREL and with the added bonus of a lot more growth… I have not looked back since.

What’s it like being on the BREL team?

Being apart of the BREL team is like being a part of another family, a work family that is. We support each other through the hard times and celebrate each other’s successes. We also definitely have the most fun and are not like other places. Mel and Brendan have created an incredible work environment of individuals that are both hard-working and know how to have a lot of fun. There is definitely never a dull moment and I consider myself very lucky to be part of the BREL team.

What do you love most about your job?

Zun Pwint the BREL team

I always had an interest in helping people and I love having the opportunity to help play a part in a monumental milestone in the lives of our clients – buying or selling a home is a significant event in anyone’s life.

Tell us about where you live.

Zun Pwint

I am currently the only team member that lives outside the city of Toronto. I reside west to the city in the suburbs in Brantford. Here I am with my furbaby Katrina, parents, and closest friends. Brantford is not nearly as busy as the city and has a more relaxed vibe. But over the last few years, it continues to grow super fast with new subdivisions and commercial properties.

What does ‘home’ mean to you?

Home to me is definitely a feeling…. an atmosphere where I feel safe and comfortable. A place where my family resides and memories are made.

What’s your craziest real estate story?

I personally don’t have any crazy real estate stories to share, but working with the team for so long I have certainly heard a lot of crazy stories throughout the years.

What we ❤️ about Zun:

By Melanie, Broker/Owner

Zun is the backbone of our business, and I don’t think we could have made it through the last 5 years without her. Her calm and quiet demeanour is exactly what we need during the crazy days (and there are many of those in real estate). Everybody knows they can rely on Zun for anything and when things go sideways, there’s nobody better to call. While most of our clients never meet Zun, she’s hard at work behind the scenes to make sure their purchases and sales go off without a hitch – she’s a critical part of every transaction.

Despite her diminutive size, Zun is actually the strongest person on our team. She doesn’t do just the heavy lifting on the team, she does the heavy-lifting in real life too, and regularly participates (and wins) fitness competitions. And that means we can ask her to lift the heavy black chairs at the office too.
